Conductivity Sensors

A conductivity sensor measures the ability for material to conduct electric current. Containing two plates, the conductivity sensor is placed inside the sample and a sine wave voltage or other potential is shot across the plates. The current which passes through the solution is measured. Conductivity is determined from the voltage and current values according to Ohm’s law. Davis Instruments offers conductivity sensors for in-line or process control applications. We have a full range of conductivity controllers and transmitters that are compatible with these measuring instruments. There’s also a mounting option for your conductivity sensor which has threaded compression fittings or NPT threads for choice of immersion, union, or sanitary systems. Many sensors materials are available to permit you to select for maximum chemical, temperature, and pressure compatibility. This includes stainless steel, PVDF, titanium, and polypropylene.
