Gas Detection Tubes

Gas detection tubes provide fast, reliable results for the spot checking of a particular gas. Glass detection tubes work when both ends of the glass tube are snapped off and the tube is inserted into a sampling pump. Drawing back on the sampler pulls air through the tube to the appropriate volume. The gas detector tube has a reagent that changes color as it is exposed to the matching gas; the length of the color change is a measure of the concentration of the gas.
