Industrial Mixers
Industrial mixers are used for mixing large quantities of material, or materials with higher viscosities and torque requirements. With the right mixer and propeller, these industrial units can mix up to 1500 gallons (5700 liters) of material with a viscosity of 1000 cps. Industrial mixers are available in electric or air-driven motors, with up to 1-hp motors. Mounting options include either a clamp (universal mounting) or 2" bung (for attaching directly to drums). Explosion proof and air drive mixers are available for locations where hazardous materials are used and sparks must be avoided. Our line of industrial mixers includes:
Industrial Mixer Accessories
Davis Instruments offers a number of accessories to optimize your mixer for industrial use. Our axial flow impellers feature a Superpitch design with a 1.5 pitch ratio for greater batch mixing capabilities. Marine impellers offer general purpose mixing applications. High-efficiency axial flow impellers are designed to provide 50% more mixing action and a true axial flow pattern. Folding impeller offer easy access through openings of 1-5/8" or more, providing full mixing capabilities once impeller opens. Folding impeller with integrated shaft provides full mixing with an unfolded diameter of 3 inches and a folded diameter of 1 inch, allowing you to fit the propeller and shaft through small bung holes. We also offer stainless steel shafts for industrial applications, ranging in length from 36 to 60 inches.
