Light and Sound

Light meters are instruments used to measure visible light intensity. Light meters use a special silicone photo diode and spectral response filter to measure light that is then displayed in Lux or Footcandles. They help you to easily measure light from fluorescent, high pressure sodium, metal halide, or incandescent sources to monitor and ensure safe lighting levels in many indoor environments. Select a light meter with data logging and USB connectivity for additional functionality. Sound level meters are used to monitor and measure sound levels and display readings in decibels. Select type 1 or 2 model configurations depending on your sound level range requirements. Useful features such as datalogging, frequency weighting, min/max, average, and peak are easily programmed with the menu driven interfaces. Personal noise dosimeters are available and are designed for occupational noise exposure assessments to help ensure worker safety elect light and sound meters from the highest quality and brand name manufactures such as Quest Technologies, Casella, Konica Minolta, Extech, and more.
