Finding a pressure meter for high precision and low pressure applications can be difficult. This pressure meter type is common in HVAC and other air-flow applications where accuracy and resolution are important. A manometer is the ideal pressure meter for high precision and low pressure needs. You can get a traditional fluid manometer or a modern digital manometer. Traditional liquid pressure meter is used to separate an atmospheric reference from the test pressure. This simple construction is called a piezometer tube. As the test pressure changes, the fluid moves to equalize the reference pressure. A digital manometer uses a set of precision strain gauges similar to those in pressure gauges. This type of precision differential pressure gauge is useful as a replacement for a traditional manometer as well as in other applications such as HVAC system tuning, cleanroom control, and more.
