Power/Voltage Controllers and Transformers

A voltage transformer is a more than a handy tool for the savvy globe trotter. People use a voltage transformer to control or regulate electrical energy. By regulating power, a voltage transformer or voltage controller can reduce the need to readjust the output voltage as load changes. In addition, these robust units do not cause waveform distortion, which eliminates errors in voltage and current measurement. Selection includes ventilated, steel-cased models for your benchtop or general utility mounting. In addition to a voltage transformer, there are step-down transformers that come in both thermal protected and heavy-duty. Thermal protected units have automatic shutdown when overheated and automatic reset function when cooled. No fuses are required and have a durable baked-enamel finish. Heavy-duty transformers include a 230VAC adapter for wiring convenience. Both step-down transformers and thermal protected units power to either 110/120 or 220/240 VAC outlets.
