Davis Instruments carries a full line of ice point reference units for your temperature calibration needs. Calibration of temperature equipment is necessary to ensure accuracy of your devices, which requires an environment with a reproducible and accurate temperature, such as that found in an ice point reference bath. These ice point reference units are set precisely to the correct temperature for an ice point check during thermocouple probe calibration. The ice point refers to the exact temperature at which water turns from a liquid state to a solid state, which is 0 degrees Celsius for deionized water at atmospheric pressure. The thermocouple probes are submerged in the wells of the ice point bath, which through accurate freezing and thawing maintains a consistent 0 degree Celsius temperature. Many of the units allow for calibration of several thermocouple probes at one time. Davis Instruments carries all of your favorite brands, such as GE and Newport.
