  • Download and pull up data right on your PC
  • WeatherLink® software with data logger allows you to graph, analyze and share your data with weather watchers around the world
Add WeatherLink to your Vantage Vue or Vantage Pro2. The data logger fits neatly into the weather station console or Weather Envoy, storing weather data even when it's not connected to your PC.
Add WeatherLink to any Vantage station or Weather Envoy and store weather data even when it's not connected to a computer. Later, download the data and use the software for detailed analysis and graphing. Our popular WeatherLink with standard data logger is ideal for most purposes, while other models add special features designed for specific user groups.

Expanded Reporting
• More Weather Data. View weather information not available on the console, including heating degree days, cooling degree days, and fuel-oil demand.
• Optional Sensor Reporting. With optional UV and solar radiation sensors, get details on sunburn risk and solar energy.
• Moon Phase. With Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Vue, you can see the phase of the moon right on the console. But now even Perception and Weather Wizard III owners can view the phases of the moon using WeatherLink.

Sharing Your Weather Data
• Create Your Own Reports. Data can be exported to most popular spreadsheets, databases, and word processing programs.
• Weather Website. Create a weather website or post weather conditions to a LAN. Add graphs, text lines, or scrolling ticker tapes, and upload other files (such as webcam images) along with weather data.
• Weather World 'Round.
• Citizen Weather Observer Program. Submit your data to the National Weather Service to help develop improved weather prediction models.
• The GLOBE Program. Participate with other schools in an international weather-related program for students from elementary through high school.

What's included: software on CD, data logger and cable to connect the data logger to your computer. Add Extra User License Kits for additional computers.

  • Q:

I'd like to install this on my Windows 7 machine, but do not have any serial inputs. I'm comfortable installing the necessary add-on card, but want to be certain I get the right one. Can you provide any guidance?

    Thank you!
Asked on 12/31/2012 by June from PA

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The reason for the serial port has always been to provide compatibility with industrial control devices; if you aren't doing that kind of thing, then you really should go with a USB version. If you are moving a legacy data logger to a new computer then purchase adapter cable 34542-92 and transfer your files to your new computer.

  • Q:

Will this work with my Vantage Vue and a Windows 8 operating system?
Asked on 12/11/2012 by WickedWeatherMaine-iac from Saco, ME

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

It will work with the Vantage Vue but won't work with a computer running Windows 8, because such a computer does not have any serial ports! If the computer did have serial ports, then the data logger would be compatible.

  • Q:

Does this work with Apple computers?
Does it also work with Advantage Pro?

      A:

The 32245-48 WeatherLink software is for Mac OS X. Weatherlink packages made for the Vantage Pro 2 will work with the Vantage Vue or the original Vantage Pro.

  • Q:

Is there a wireless adapter available for transmission to the internet?
Asked on 9/10/2012 by Brother Bear from Washington, KS

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

There is not a wireless method, but there is a wired method to get data directly from the console and data logger to a web site. Purchase the WeatherLinkIP, our 99800-65. This data logger has as its' output wiring an Ethernet jack into which you plug your Cat5 cable and connect directly to your service providers' modem.

The logger detects the connection and accesses a dedicated web site where your weather data is hosted free of charge. You need merely log into the site home page with your password and you can get your data from anywhere with Internet service.

  • Q:

I'm interested of course in WeatherLink, but the computer specifications in your set up manual imply you can't support Mac OS. Is this correct? Since you make high-end weather stations, I would be surprised if you weren't overlapping with the Apple customer base. I'd love to be able to see my weather station on my iPhone.
I own the Vantage VUE package.

  • Q:

What do I need to do to use my software on a new computer with no serial port and windows7?
Asked on 11/9/2009 by alex p from Manchester nh

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

If you don't already have this software and you'd like to connect using a USB port connection, you'd want to order the 86403-54 (it comes with the USB connector). If you have already purchased the version with the serial port connection, you can purchase a serial port to USB adapter. Most of these adapters will come with a disc with software/drivers. You'll want to make sure they will work with your operating system, or that they are available for download online. Once the connection is made, you shouldn't have an issue using your weatherlink software.
