This popular meter uses a wood scale that ranges from 6 to 40% with built-in calibrations for 48 individual wood species. The contact pins mounted on top of the meter provide 5/16'' (0.8 cm) penetration for testing wood up to 1” (2.5 cm) thick. The meter also features an audible out of range alarm, internal calibration check, 100 data point memory, and average/maximum readings.
