    1 answer

This unit will include a NIST-traceable calibration report supplied by the manufacture. It does not need to be ordered separately.

  • Q:

Hi; Can this ENTIRE unit be left on the inside of refrigerator indefinitely!!! T.Y,
Asked on 8/31/2015 by tom from bellmore ny

Yes, but usually they are kept on the outside and have the probes inside so that you can monitor the temperature with the doors closed.

  • Q:

When one orders a T-94460-92 High-Accuracy Refrigerator/freezer thermometer with 1 bottle probe, is the thermometer manufactured after the order is placed, thus leading to a corresponding NIST calibration certificate with a "calibration due date" one year from the order date?
Asked on 1/23/2014 by John from LaMancha

    1 answer

    • A:

The calibration certificates are dated for the month PRIOR to an order being placed...or so that has been my experience as a customer. The good news is that the thermometer and probe(s) certification lasts for TWO years from that date, not one.

Answered on 2/25/2014 by Mark from User from St. Louis, MO
  • Q:

Regarding the NIST calibration certificate that accompanies the thermometer, how is the certificate's "date" determined? If one purchases a thermometer in February 2014, will the certificate include a February 2014 date or will the date be of an older, random origin?

Is there ANY way one can receive a thermometer with corresponding NIST certificate that is dated as close to the purchase date as possible without paying more than $83.00?

    Thank you.
    Asked on 1/15/2014 by Felix

    1 answer

The factory issues a NIST calibration report that states a "calibration due date". That date is usually a year or more out from when the item is purchased

  • Q:

Does this thermometer include a battery indicator?
    Asked on 9/24/2013 by Steve

    1 answer

Yes, the product will display a battery symbol indicating the batteries should be replaced.

Answered on 9/25/2013 by Jack from Technical Support
  • Q:

Are there replacement probes for this? One of ours has broken.
    Asked on 6/21/2013 by Lab

    1 answer

As each channel is NIST calibrated with a specific bottle probe, replacing a probe would require sending the unit back for recalibration. This process is almost certainly more expensive than replacing it with a brand new one, so the bottle probes alone are not available.
