    Is the signal from this product an analog signal? What is the required input voltage?

      Thermocouples produce mV (millivolt) signals. There is no need to apply voltage. Thermocouples work by touching two different metals together at the tip of the probe. These metals will then exchange electrons. The transfer of electrons will be greater at higher temperatures and therefore increase the mV signal sent through the wires. This signal is then interpreted by a meter of some sort.

      The coiled cable (which is connected to the meter) for this probe is 5-ft.
