      No, exposed-junction probes are not recommended for use with aqueous solutions/being submerged. D
      08466-04 or the 08466-82 Type K probes would be more appropriate.

      If you simply want to insert the probe into the air spaces of the silo, and a total length of 3' is long enough to reach the area of interest, then this probe will work.
