This thermocouple probe has a temp range of –418 to 1650 F (–250 to 899 C). Note this is for the SS probe, the handle and cable will melt if exposed to high temperature.

I am happy with the performance of the product but this probe was supposed to be a replacement for a probe that failed under warranty yet you billed me [$] for the replacement probe. I'm not happy about that.

Comments about Digi-Sense Type-K, Standard Probe, Mini Conn, 5" L, .093 Dia Tip, Grd, 5ft Coil Cord:

The diameter of the probe (.156") was too large for insertion into a standard Petes Plug, so we had to return it. The probes were well made and very durable. This probe might fit into a Petes Plug 2 however.

I like that the tip narrows to give a faster reading and doesn't act as a heat sink.
