    • Q:

Can one buy the calipers without the extra $27+ calibration?

What is this calibration for anyway?
Asked on 4/22/2014 by Pat from Phila. PA

      1 answer

Yes, you can purchase the calipers only as the calibration is an additional service we offer if you require documentation that the item has been calibrated to NIST standards. The unit will still perform perfectly fine and within specification without the calibration. What the calibration offers you is the documentation with stated accuracy and tolerances for the unit.
