  • Q:

how often should you reasonably perform these bump tests for the Co version of the 5500 model for paramedic services? Should it be done after entering industrial sites and other areas where CO exposure would be considered higher?

If you notice the (!) icon is lit after turning on, perform a bump test.

  • Q:

An exclamation ! appeared on the Draeger 5500 gas monitor screen, how do I get rid of it an what does it mean??
    Asked on 8/15/2014 by UCT

The [!] icon will appear when the system is entered into the bump test mode by manually pressing the [+] 3 times within 3 seconds. If the bump test mode was entered by mistake, while the notice icon [!] is lit, press [+] to cancel the bump test mode and switch over to measurement screen.
