More features of Flir Point-and-Shoot Thermal Imagers...

FLIR thermal imagers measure and store temperatures at every point in the image, so that the data can be analyzed. With the highest accuracy for this class of thermal imagers at ±2%, these imagers are perfect for identifying hot spots or a rise in temperature which often indicates that a problem exists or a failure could be imminent. Ideal for use in applications where a visual indication of temperature variation may be helpful, such as troubleshooting electrical systems and machinery, or conducting a home energy audit.

FLIR’s exclusive Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging System (MSX) is featured on all E-series cameras. This function provides extraordinary real-time thermal detail that instantly highlights and orients problem locations and eliminates the need to refer back to a visual image. MSX allows you to see details never available before in earlier generations of thermal imagers, from definable edges of an object to text on a label and so much more.

Each camera comes with access to a robust web-based software package that allows you to transfer images onto a template for analyzing and creating reports in pdf format. Other imager features include a large LCD, selectable on-screen viewing modes, focus-free lens for convenient close-focus viewing (from 2 feet to infinity), and an internal memory that stores up to 500 images with measurements right in the camera for future analysis.

Extremely lightweight and compact design with easy-grip handle results in less user fatigue. Rugged construction meets IP54 dust/splashproof standards. Designed for continuous operation on a single charge, the unit features a Li-ion rechargeable battery with AC adapter/charger, which produces long battery life.

  • Q:

Looking for something to chase down leaks in walls at a condo is this something that would penetrate drywall?
Asked on 2/21/2014 by E from Fl

    1 answer

It would only give you the surface thermal imaging of the wall. In other words, the leak would need to be coming through the wall to the side you are measuring for you to see a difference on the screen.
