Fluke has pioneered the use of hyper-thin pyroelectric technology to develop a temperature array dense enough to create an infrared heat map. The Fluke VT02 visual IR thermometer is a great tool for those times when a single spot infrared temperature reading isn’t enough and a high-resolution thermal image is more than you need.
Traditional infrared thermometers may seem affordable and convenient, but they only show an average temperature of the area being measured and the farther away, the less accurate they become. Multiple readings and the manual recording of each temperature measurement are also required in order to get a full understanding of what is occurring within the measurement area.
With the Fluke VT02, you get both the temperature and a visual image of exactly what you are measuring. Eliminating the tedious tasks of taking multiple readings. The VT02 displays and captures a blended infrared and visual image instantly! In one blended picture you get the complete picture, and are able to compare readings and images from different dates to determine if a problem is developing.
While a blended picture speaks a thousand words, the VT02 goes one step further with the use of a hot and cold spot finder. The device will show hot (red box) and cold (blue box) spot markers when the temperature is outside the set points. When you see a hot or cold spot on the screen, you can save the image with the temperature reading and pinpoint the exact location of the issue.
Other features include selectable color palette, emissivity adjustment, selectable temperature scale, reflected background temperature compensation, time/date stamp, and image hold. Images are stored to a micro SD card for easy download to PC for analysis with Fluke’s SmartView® software, letting you efficiently document problems.
