Polypropylene rotary pump (06510-00) is excellent for most organic acids, waxes, plating solutions, detergents and water soluble inorganic chemicals. Ryton PPS rotary pump (06510-05) is able to dispense aggressive chemicals such as esters, ketones and hydrocarbons. Ryton PPS pumps include a stainless steel discharge tube with a 3-piece stainless steel suction tube. Stainless steel pump (06510-10) with PTFE seal is suitable for pumping chlorinated or petroleum-based solvents. For larger flows with compatible liquids, there are now cast iron (06510-17) and aluminum (06510-19) pumps.

    Will this pump works with Thinner. Does it meet safety regulation for static electricity. What kind of seal the pump have. Can we replace seal when they wear out.

      This pump does not meet regulations for static electricity. It is all FDA approved materials and ok for food use. This pump has a PTFE lip seal, which can be replaced using part number 00320CL.

      The wetted materials of the pump are stainless steel and PTFE. We do not currently have chemical compatibility data on bromopropane.

      A:

      This hand pump is designed for use with 55 gallon drum pumps. Therefore the maximum suction lift is 42". The maximum discharge head is 3 feet (1 psi).

      A:

      Chemically, this product is compatible with honey; but has a maximum viscosity of 1099 cp. Honey typically has a viscosity around 1800 cp. I would have concerns about the viscosity. Also, this unit does not carry any food-grade certifications.

      This pump also has wetted part of Ryton(PPS) along with SS and PTFE and is capable of pumping fluids with a max centipoise of 1000 cps at a max temperature of 140°F.

    Comments about None Hand-Operated Rotary Drum Pump, SS, 10 GPM, 40"L Tube, 5000 SSU:

    Everything we you in our mixing and despensing area must be FDA approved. Since we have several products that are of a thick viscosity, we need a pump that can hold up yet fairily eaisy to use. This pump does all of that.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
