Omron’s line of short barrel, cylindrical style, proximity sensors are used for detecting ferrous metals under standard conditions using high-frequency oscillation and resist heat, chemicals, and water better than rectangular sensors and provide up to twice the sensing distance in comparison with CENELEC standards packaged in a compact size. This technology decreases costs with maintenance in reducing damage by avoiding collisions between the work piece and sensor.
