  • Contamination-free two-channel pumping in a compact format—ideal for analyzer, flow cell, and perfusion applications
  • Flow range: 0.002 to 12.3 mL/min per channel depending on drive rpm and tubing size
  • One- or two-channel, reversible pumping
  • Stackable, compact 1/4-DIN housing—mount in your equipment rack or place on your lab bench. (To mount, order brackets 77120-03 separately).
  • Separate single-turn speed control and cw/off/ccw switch with green LED power indicator—maintain speed setting when you turn pump on/off or reverse direction.
  • Reversible permanent magnet DC motor; purge fluid before or after pumping; pump fluid in either direction.

C/L pumps are compact (1⁄4 DIN) and perfect for low-flow OEM use or analyzer applications. These easy-to-use, economical pumps feature reversible pumping, remote control capabilities, and rapid tubing changes. Ideal for consistent fluid delivery in chromatography, spectroscopy, and dispensing applications.
Maximum suction lift of 5 ft (1.5 m); max discharge head of 20 ft (6.1 m); max pressure 15 psi (1.0 bar). Selfpriming pumps withstand minor back pressure. What's included: 5 ft (1.5 m) of 0.89-mm ID Tygon LFL tubing and dual-voltage (115/230 VAC) power supply with 6-ft (1.8-m) power cord. • Q:

Can each channel pump in opposite directions?
    Asked on 7/16/2015 by Neo

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The two channels cannot run independently of each other, but the motor is reversible. Therefore, both channels can run clockwise or counterclockwise together.

  • Q:

Can this pump be use in a cell culture incubator (37 degree C and 95% humidity)? Does the tubing come sterile or autoclavable? Thanks
Asked on 1/28/2015 by Felix from Duarte, CA

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

This pump can operate in an environmental temperature range of 0-40°C and an humidity range of 0-90%. Some Masterflex tubing can be autoclaved and some cannot. The Tygon E-LFL tubing can be autoclaved.

  • Q:

I need to pump a high temperature fluid and was considering using a peristaltic pump. If the environment is at roughly 25 C, but the fluid being pumped is roughly 95 C, can this piece of equipment still function?

If not, could you please recommend alternate products for pumping low-viscosity high temperature fluids? I have already identified a suitable tubing and simply need the pump.
Asked on 8/19/2014 by Benjamin Dorau from Pittsburgh, PA

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

As long as the tubing selected has a dynamic (pumping) capability at that temperature, you should be fine. Silicone, PharMed, and Viton tubings would be good choices.

  • Q:

What does the "DIN" mean when it says its dimensions are 1/4 DIN?
    Asked on 3/26/2014 by Hilary

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

The "DIN" stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung for nominal front- and cut-out dimensions of measurement and control instruments for panel mounting. The 1/4" specially calls our a cut out size of 3.64" x 3.64" [92 mm x 92 mm] which is an industry standard.

  • Q:

Is L/S 13 tubing compatible for this pump?
Asked on 1/8/2013 by Lizzy from Viçosa, BRA

    1 answer

    • STAFF EXPERT

      A:

No, It is not. The closest microbore tubing size this pump can accept to the L/S 13 would be the 0.89mm ID tubing line. For example, please see part number 95609-26.

      Comments about Masterflex C/L Dual-Channel Pump; 10 to 60 rpm, 115/230 VAC:

I purchased one of these about a year ago and was very happy with it so I purchased another one. We have had no problem with it. It saves a lot of money by recirculating the buffers used with our chemicals.

        Comments about Masterflex C/L Dual-Channel Pump; 10 to 60 rpm, 115/230 VAC:

We're using two of these pumps for a research project as a cheap means to get started. Although I would not recommend this pump for applications that require great precision, if you're looking for a reasonably priced pump that can get the basic job done, this will do just fine. You will probably want to do your own calibration, though. The pumps varied from the calibration by ~30% in different directions at the lowest RPM setting

The first pump was sent defective. The second pump did not have enough power to work properly even though the power requirements should have been sufficient.
