Comments about NIST-Traceable Calibration; 2-4-Point, Liquid-in-Glass Thermometer:
They did a great job on calibration and I'll use them again, but I wasn't expecting half a dozen emails each week to follow up on follow-ups

Was it calibrated correctly?

Not sure how the same thermometer could be calibrated OK in 2011 but this year the high temp point was not within calibration. I let them know I had questions on my evaluation but to date, no contact from the company.
Merchant response: Unfortunately all test and measurement equipment can drift over time and liquid-in-glass thermometers are no exception. It can happen due to volatilization of the measuring liquid, tiny cracks in the glass, or miniscule separations in the column. The high points in the range are the most affected by these changes and thus are most likely to read out-of-tolerance. The potential for changes in measurements are precisely the reason it is so important for critical measurement equipment to be checked on regular intervals. We are always open to retesting equipment if there are concerns about the results; please contact our customer service team to coordinate this.

2 NIST thermometers returned out of tolerance that were ok last year. one thermometer only 2 years old. Have to wonder why ?
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Good work, but needs to be faster
I understand calibration time is improving. 4 weeks is still too long for us.
Merchant response: This has been an active area of improvement for us, we have made efforts to shorten this time. As of today we are at 2 weeks.
I would highly recommend this

Not very buyer freindly
from Bay Springs, MS
Was not happy about the fact that it took too much time to get the thermometer and then had to turn around and send it to Innocal to get it calibrated. In the past, we have ordered the themometer and paid the calibration fee and it was simply sent to us ready to use. Frustrating and very time consuming passing it from one hand to another and back.
Merchant response: We do apologize if the time it took to calibrate was longer than you expected. We are constantly evaluating the ops to speed up the process but continue to maintain the high level of accuracy. QA Dept.
