  • Q:

When submerging into a calibration solution do you still keep the little plastic cup attached?

Why do I need to separate containers with the same calibration solution to calibrate?
Asked on 5/10/2016 by jill from ohio

    1 answer

The unit will include a plastic cap to protect the sensor. This will need to be removed when taking measurements. Pour a small amount of your sample directly into the sensor cup until it overflows when taking measurements. You do not need separate containers when calibrating. For calibration the same pour method is used, but with the calibration solution.

  • Q:

Can one calibrate at different scales, then keep that calibration and switch between scales without needing to recalibrate again? Will it remain accurate?
    Asked on 2/18/2011 by Anonymous

    1 answer

Each calibration range (2-200 µS, 200-2000 µS, and 2-20 mS) retains its calibration independently. Switching between scales does not require recalibration.

  • Q:

How much solution is needed to get an accurate reading for both cup and immersion sampling?
    Asked on 12/10/2010 by Anonymous

    1 answer

The cup requires 1ml of sample to obtain an accurate reading.
The immersion style is more variable as it depends on the diameter and depth of your sample cup. The sample will have to cover the sensor to gain an accurate reading.
