This solar powered, self-contained weather station measures and records barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, dew point, wind direction, wind speed, rain fall and solar radiation. Ideal for remote field measurements. Program the logging sample rate from once a minute to once an hour. At one sample per hour, the datalogger will store over one year of measurements. Download data to a laptop for evaluation with included software and RS-232 interface. Weather station fits into rugged transport case.

    can this unit upload data to the internet via the cellular system in real time??

      A:

      This unit can not transmit data wirelessly. This unit will require you to either bring a PC to the weather station to download the data or bring the weather station to a PC to download the data via the RS-232 connection.

  • Q:

    How do I convert the readout data to metric? Wind speed, temperature, RH, rainfall etc. Just recieved the unit and have set it up. I live in Canada and want all readouts to be in metric measurements.

      A:

      You will need to connect with WLcom and select Command from the Com menu.
      Next type a colon (':') followed by a 'v'. The PortLog will return a single digit 0 -4. Zero indicates English units with wind speed in mph.
      Refer to the menu for what the other units are. Repeat these command until the unit returns the desired units.

      This unit is portable and intended to be placed in a remote area to log conditions. This unit does not calculate RAL.
