      Yes, there is an inlet and outlet, both have 1/8" NPT threaded connections. The back connection is perpendicular to the one seen in the picture, and the reason it cannot be seen at the same time.

    I assume this works by "bleeding" room air into the vacuum stream. In my application I cannot contaminate the vacuum stream, is it possible to supply "clean", lighty pressurized air as the bleed stream through a connection to the regulator?

      A:

      That would be correct; the ambient atmosphere does enter the vacuum regulator through the small vent hole in the valve body. This ambient flow can be eliminated by plugging the vent hole, though the regulator may not return to a lower vacuum without a vent from the upstream side. You may try this by putting electrical tape over the vent to see how the regulator performs. If there are no problems the vent hole can be permanently plugged by pressing the vent filter in and Epoxying the vent hole. The gauge ports and the vent go to a common chamber. The regulator can achieve about ½”Hg. higher vacuum with the vent plugged.
