    • Q:

just got off phone with tech support in considering trying this product. However now that I read more I see that it is showing that 32fh is the lowest its temp range goes. however it talks about freezers, so 32 isnt reallylow enough. My ice cream freezers for example need to send alarm when temps get up to 10 degrees and normal temps ar -15ish. So as I am understanding item will not work for me?

The digital temperature sensor is capable of monitoring any temperature range from -30º to +220ºF (-34º to +105ºC) in standard units. There are also specially equipped models available which would allow for a measurement range of -67º to +300ºF (-55º to +150ºC). The temp information noted in the above specification table would be incorrect. Please contact our technical support department for further information.

Does the EA200-12 have a case that can be mounted to the outside of refrigerators & freezers?

This device is designed for a standard surface-mount. Screws are to be screwed into a wall or surface. There are little plastic slots on the back side of the monitor that will slip over the head of these screws. There is no special case for mounting to freezers currently. However, this device is very light-weight. I don't see anything stopping a person using the product from finding a way to attach magnets and stick it to the outside of the fridge being monitored.

What is your mttr and mtbf on your equipment.
Asked on 7/6/2009 by Mike from Arlington Tx

      1 answer

The mean time to recovery and to alarm is roughly 3 seconds. Once the alarm levels are reached it is roughly 3 second to sound the alarm. And, once the parameters are reset it takes about 3 seconds to turn the alarm off. Please contact our technical application specialists for additional assistance (contact information can be found on the product web page).
