Technical Inside Sales (Product Applications)

We have an opportunity for a bright candidate to contribute to our technical inside sales team which provides technical product support to internal and external customers, in the form of sourcing, recommendations, troubleshooting, specifications, and documentation. You will also participate in cross-sell/up-sell promotions to increase sales revenues

In addition you will perform sales support activities such as entering orders, providing quotes and pricing, expediting orders and arranging returns.

This position serves as primary customer point of contact and works with other departments/business units and suppliers directly to support customer needs while remaining technically current through continual interaction and formal training with vendors, customers and colleagues.

Minimum requirements:
  • 3 years previous work experience within one or more of the following: Inside or Field Sales, Technical Customer Services, and/or Product Support Specialist.
  • We seek a Bachelor’s degree in the Electronics/Electrical field or the equivalent of directly related experience. .
  • Proven knowledge of industrial instrumentation and calibration equipment.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills to provide effective solutions to customers, based on their needs.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills to be able to conduct professional and courteous phone conversation with internal and external customers.
  • Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and prior AS400 experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced inbound sales environment where the required telephone support is a primary essential job function.
